Caring for eyes in Brackenfell for close to 40 years
Martin Grimbly Optometrist was started in 1984 in the Brackenfell Shopping Centre. In 1985 the practice relocated to the Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarket. The Practice moved to bigger premises in the hypermarket in 1992. In December 2012 the practice relocated to new premises at 3 Kerkstraat, Arauna, Brackenfell.
The practice caters for all aspects of Optometry and refers to Ophthalmology when necessary. The practice caters for Visual Examination, Hard and Soft contact lenses, Visual therapy, Colorimetry, Visual Field testing, screening for and monitory pathology.

Retinal photography has been available since 2004 and all patients who are Glaucoma suspects or have diabetes should have an annual visual examination.
Dilated retinal examinations are advised for patients with small pupils, diabetes, and possible pathology and those seeing flashes or floaters.
We carry a large stock of designer and fashion eyewear for everyone. Our dispensing staff has a passion for making you look good and feel good in eyewear.

Knobloch Shooting glasses
Shooting glasses have existed for decades. The Karlsruhe optician Bruno Knobloch, who was at the time German champion with his team, created a variable system for the adjustment of special glasses for shooters.
His business developed well over the years and is now led by his two sons Frank & Thomas. Over the years the shooting glasses have been constantly approved. Dr Martin Grimbly has had training done by the brothers to fit and supply these special glasses.
